Α beautiful tiny  island with whitewashed houses (Kimolos means ..the chalk, in Greek ) almost lightening up at night. This white combined with the clear blue sea, make the landscape look amazing.

«Χorio» is the main village of the island. You can enjoy not very noisy  beach bars.There are remote beaches with strange rock formations and steep slopes. A nice beach is Prasa, with white sand and many other beaches you had to walk a bit to get there and enjoy total isolation with amazingly landscapes.
To the west of the island in the current location “Ellinika” is the ancient SUNKEN CITY If you dive you will see ruins of the houses and tombs of the ancient city. According to archeological findings, Kimolos has been inhabited continuously, at least since the late Neolithic era.
Visiting  Kimolos you should definitely take the boat and go to POLYAIGOS a beautiful uninhabited island with caves with blue waters is the largest uninhabited island in the Aegean sea.
